About this site

Color Splash.

You’re considered superficial and silly if you’re interested in fashion, but I think you can be substantial and still be interested in frivolity. – Sofia Coppola

Hi, my name is Trish Cardona and welcome to my site!

This site is my personal project on beauty and style, wisdom and grace. It represents my personal belief that you have the right to be smart and beautiful and no one can dare take that away from you!

This site is all about STYLE.  Why?  Because I don’t have any.  Not the way popular media would define style anyway.

I don’t have anything designer in my closet.  Unless you count a couple of Guess bags given to me by my mom.  Bottom line, I can’t afford it.

But who cares?  That’s what the internet is for right?  The great equalizer.

So this site should somehow, one way or another, by hook or by crook, get me some of that much-needed style.  Or it could help me define my style eventually.  Or I could stumble upon it just by sheer luck!

I love everything style – from fashion to design to visual arts and the like, but I like to keep it sensible and real.  Simply because I have to.

That’s why I eventually titled it LIFE, STYLE & SENSIBILITY -I like to think that I enjoy the simpler things in life, but that doesn’t mean that I am simple at all.

I am complex and intelligent, and I tackle (head on) a myriad of issues in my busy, modern life.  As often as I can, I solve my problems through sophisticated and intelligent thinking and/or deep and sincere emotions, or a combination of both.  Or sometimes, I just go with my gut.  And I’m always entitled to change my mind. I’m a woman, after all!

Sure I don’t always want the simple answer, but I’m ready to accept anything if it speaks to me out of a real and sincere place.

So you’ll see my site content run the gamut from heavy-hitting articles on life, love, work and family to light-hearted entries on fashion, shopping and the like, as well as reviews on recommended movies, music, books and other kinds of art. Once in a while, there will be commentary on current events.

I’ll always strive to make it feature-packed and resource-rich.  Most of all, I’ll keep it relevant and real – so let me know what you want to see on the site by dropping me a line on yummum@trishcardona.com or posting your comments on any of the comments boxes on the site.

Like life, this site will always be a ‘work in progress’ but come visit often to see updates and check on the latest articles.  I would love to hear your comments and would love it even more if you subscribe to my email list or RSS feed.  And if you can help me in my quest to be ‘the mum who has it all’, then please share the content you like on your favorite social media or social bookmarking sites.
