What I’m Reading: February 2012

Here’s a sneak peek of the top 3 books (actually Kindle books) I’m devouring right now.
DON’T WASTE YOUR LIFE by John Piper
Great book on putting a fire in my belly and reigniting my passion for life again.
Yes the material is definitely Christian, but it puts the spiritual in everything.
And I mean EVERYTHING, including changing diapers. And by extension, writing in my blog. And picking out my clothes for the day.
It’s amazing.
SCREAMFREE PARENTING by Hal Edward Runkel
Lord I need patience… NOW!
Every parent’s silent (or not-so-silent) prayer at one time or another. This book puts a twist on the traditional parenting school-of-thought that focuses on the child, his or her behaviour, and how to manage that behaviour.
This one asks me to look at myself, my behaviour and how I can manage my behaviour and always be happy in the moment.
Brilliant.
THIN FOR GOOD by Fred Pescatore
I actually didn’t want to start on yet another low-carb diet book.
But this one is brilliant for making that mind-body connection as well. Great stuff about making a commitment to yourself and your health and how it must be my number one priority everyday, no excuses.
So what are you reading these days?
