The Challenge: 50 Days to Change

Today is the official launch of my personal “50 days to change” challenge.

There’s no marching band, no ribbon-cutting ceremony, no dance number with a fake wardrobe malfunction to kick it off.

But I do want to mark today as 50 days to count down to my birthday on 11.11.11.

And perhaps it is indeed a midlife anti-crisis, but really it’s more like a third-life crisis for me since I want to live to be 105. My midlife is not until I’m 52.5 years old.

Breaking Down The Challenge

  • To lose 10 pounds at least – I’ll reveal my starting weight in another post.
  • To redesign my site and officially launch “Simply Trish”.
  • To shop in my closet only – because I need to stop scratching that itch!
  • To savour mommyhood right now – starting with getting better organized for 3 kids this spring. If they can do it, I can do it too. Hello Ikea!
  • To pray, worship and meditate more so that worry loses its place in my head. That means better sleep and more of it.

There’s lots more to it, and every little change counts and creates ripple effects onto other aspects of my life, as well as my family’s life.  But this is a start.

And this is the first step.
