Etsy Style: Gaijin Geisha

If you’re in love with all things style, you should be quite familiar with the web phenomenon that is etsy. I’ve bought stuff from them for over a year now, and I do mean stuff. They stock everything from traditional crafty knick knacks and thingamabobs to uber-modern decor and clothing.

For ages now, I have been planning to feature etsy stores and per my default style, have procrastinated for way too long.

Finally, I’m ready to unveil my very first etsy store to feature: the Gaijin Geisha.

From the store name, you’re taken into an intriguing world of intricate shabby chic items for a domestic diva’s kitchen to old-world Japanese-inspired jewelry of simplicity and richness, and many other items in between.

The shop itself, and all things in it, reflect the owner’s complexity and beauty having been born into two worlds of very different cultures.

If that was not enough, Tammy Leverich served in the US Marine Corps before she let loose her creative side via her etsy store.

Wow, talk about rich, complex and beautiful.

I couldn’t resist giving in to a bit of domestic kitsch – and I call it that only because really, can you justify wearing such a beautiful piece of clothing only to be ruined by the mess of cooking?

But that’s the irony of it, right?

Something so practical made to look so pretty and decorative.

Who’d have thought looking the business could be so delicious? This baby always brings out the diva in my domestic life! Yay!

On a final note, I want to thank Tam for being so generous in allowing me to feature her on my site, and extremely patient in waiting for me to finally get around to posting this.

I’m so proud Gaijin Geisha is my first etsy store to share with you guys. Look out for more etsy shops in the future.
